Who we are
Coach B Basketball provides basketball coaching, camps, teams and related youth-development services in Hertfordshire. Privacy questions can be sent to info@coachb.co.uk.
Information we collect
We may collect contact details for parents or guardians, participant details, booking and attendance information, messages you send us, account details for member services, and payment status. Please do not send medical or other sensitive information through a general enquiry form.
How we use information and our lawful bases
We use information to answer enquiries and take steps requested before a booking; to administer bookings, payments and membership under our contract with you; for legitimate interests such as service administration, fraud prevention, safeguarding, improving our services and responding to questions; to meet legal obligations; and, where required, on the basis of consent. Where special-category information is genuinely necessary, we will identify an additional legal condition and collect it through an appropriate private process.
Children’s information
Where a participant is a child, a parent or guardian should provide and manage their information. We limit access to people who need it to deliver or administer the service.
Who processes information
We use Base44 for website hosting, application data and platform email functions; Pebble for external activity listings and bookings; Stripe where online payments are enabled; and email or administration providers used to receive and manage enquiries. These providers process information only for the relevant service. We do not sell personal information.
Retention
Unsuccessful general enquiries are normally deleted within 12 months. Booking, payment and accounting records are normally retained for 6 years after the relevant financial year. Attendance, membership and routine coaching-administration records are reviewed annually and retained only while needed. Safeguarding, accident and insurance records may be retained for longer where professional guidance, limitation periods or legal obligations require it. Records are securely deleted or anonymised when no longer required.
International transfers
Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where that occurs, we require an approved transfer mechanism or another lawful safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, together with appropriate security measures.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete information, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis used. Contact us using the address above. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Contact and complaints
Privacy enquiries should be sent to bruno@coachb.co.uk. If you remain dissatisfied, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. This policy was last updated on 26 August 2026.
